Torwal Inc. — SMS Text Messaging Terms and Privacy Notice

1. About this service
These terms govern the SMS text messaging service offered by Torwal Inc. ("Torwal", "we", "us", "our") through Microsoft Teams. The service allows our team members to exchange text messages with clients on a one-to-one basis in connection with their projects and support requests.
This service is for direct, conversational communication only. It is not used for marketing, promotional, or automated messaging. By participating in the service, you agree to these terms.
2. Purpose of messages
Messages relate to your project or support relationship with Torwal. Typical messages include:
- Meeting scheduling, confirmations, and reminders
- Requests for information, access, or approvals
- Status updates on implementations, deployments, or support tickets
- Notifications about scheduled maintenance or system downtime
- General correspondence with your assigned consultant
Each phone number used in the service is assigned to an individual team member. You will receive messages only from the team member or members working with you.
3. Consent
By providing your mobile telephone number to Torwal, you consent to receive text messages from your assigned team member in connection with your project or support request. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving our services, and you may decline or withdraw it at any time.
You confirm that the mobile number you provide belongs to you and that you are authorized to receive messages at that number.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on the activity and needs of your project. There is no fixed or recurring number of messages.
5. Costs
Torwal does not charge a fee for text messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Please contact your carrier with questions about charges.
6. Opting out
You may stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send further text messages unless you opt back in.
Opting out of text messages does not end your relationship with Torwal. We will continue to communicate with you by telephone, email, or mail.

8. Carrier liability
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on factors outside the control of Torwal and your carrier, including network availability and your device settings.
9. Privacy
We handle personal information, including your mobile number and the content of your messages, in accordance with our Privacy Policy at https://torwal.com/privacy-policy and with applicable Canadian privacy law. Mobile information and SMS consent data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information shared with our messaging providers is used only to deliver the service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be made available to you, and the effective date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
